Q: What To Do If You Can’t Get High?
A: Concentrates.
What are Concentrates?
Concentrates are the result of distilling cannabis down to its most desirable components; cannabinoids and terpenes. Concentrates allow you to experience the best part of cannabis without having to consume any other plant materials.
Concentrates vs. Extracts
Extracts include shatter, resin, honey oil, wax and diamonds and are often made using a solvent such as butane.
Concentrates include rosin, dry sift hash and kief are made using a more mechanical and solventless extraction process.
Why Consume Concentrates?
There are many reasons why one may want to consume cannabis in the forms of concentrates.
Here are a few:
- Higher percentages of cannabinoids (THC between 40-80%)
- Cleaner process via vaporization and consumption of less plant matter
- Less recognizable as a “cannabis” product
- Generally, the smell is not as strong as flower when combusting
Ways To Consume Concentrates
Dabbing: process of heating a concentrate or extract to the point of vaporization, which the consumer will then inhale. You will need a dab rig and torch for this process.
Vaporizer: using a handheld or tabletop vaporizer is a quick and convenient way to consume concentrates. This is often less intimidating to new users, but you will want to make sure your vaporizer can reach the correct temperature to properly vaporize the concentrates.
Low Maintenance Boosters: concentrates such as kief, honey oil and dry sift hash can easily be added to your regular flower routine. Drop some on top of your bowl or into your joint for a boost to your buds!
