BUDSSMOKE’s First Time’s Free Comedy Show wasn’t just an event—it was a whole vibe. A night where the community came together to celebrate the launch of our Pickering store the best way we know how: with good people, good jokes, and a whole lot of Caribbean flavor!

A Comedy Show with Island Vibes

Mr. Delicious By The Beach was the perfect home for the night—this West Shore gem welcomed us with open arms (and full plates) during their busy evening rush. The smell of jerk chicken and fried plantain filled the air as guests settled in, and let’s just say the goodies from the Pickering shop next door had people feeling extra receptive to the comedy.

And speaking of comedy… what. a. lineup.

The Heavy Hitters of the Night

We didn’t just throw together a show—we curated a stacked comedy lineup that the diverse Pickering community loved.

🎤 Marc Trinidad kicked off the night as host, bringing his signature Caribbean wit and effortless crowd work.
🎤 Ryan Hillis had the audience hooked with his razor-sharp humor.
🎤 Big Norm proved once again why he’s a local legend—hitting us with comedy that felt as authentic as the doubles on the menu.
🎤 Ronen Gesler kept the momentum going with a set that had people wiping away tears (the good kind).
🎤 Quinn C. Martin brought his A-game, delivering punchlines that left the room in stitches.
🎤 And then… Jean Paul. The headliner shut it down with a powerhouse performance that had the entire restaurant howling.

A Night for the Books (and the Belly)

More than a comedy show, this was a celebration of culture, community, and a fresh new chapter for BUDSSMOKE in Pickering. The love in the room was real, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to introduce ourselves to the neighborhood.

To Mr. Delicious By the Beach—thank you for letting us take over your space and turn an already poppin’ night into something unforgettable. To the comedians—y’all absolutely killed it. And to everyone who came through—your energy made this night what it was.
